alm360 Hub

Connecting SAP Cloud ALM. Eliminate silos. Accelerate processes.

In SAP landscapes, teams often work in different tools – Jira in the dev team, ServiceNow in ITSM, Asana in the project environment. What is missing? A central connection.

The alm360 Hub is our integration platform that seamlessly links SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager and your tool landscape. So that information flows reliably – without media disruptions, without manual double maintenance.

why alm360 Hub.

In hybrid IT environments, it is crucial that change processes, error handling and tests work across system boundaries. This is exactly where the alm360 Hub comes in:

  • Modular structure: you only integrate what you need – expandable at any time.
  • Two operating modes: SAP ALM can take the lead, or external tools such as Jira or SNOW can generate content that is automatically transferred to ALM.
  • Synchronized instead of manual: Tasks, statuses, comments and test results flow bidirectionally – structured and secure.
  • Orchestrated and secure: The hub handles the mapping, monitors the exchange and ensures that no information is lost.

How it works – typical application scenario.

A defect is recorded in SAP Cloud ALM for a test case – this automatically appears as a bug in Jira. The tester adds the status and test progress directly in ALM – synchronized back in Jira.

The whole process is automated, traceable and without copy-paste effort.

Your benefits with the alm360 Hub.

End-to-end data flow across tools, teams and systems

Simple implementation, flexibly expandable

Less effort, more speed and transparency

Secure operation, data protection-compliant on BTP

The difference: integration with ALM expertise.

The alm360 Hub is more than just a technical connector. It standardizes change, defect, and test processes across tools and makes data flows manageable.

As a leading SAP Cloud ALM consulting partner in Switzerland, blue.works combines in-depth technological expertise with practical ALM experience gained from over 50 customer projects. Neutral, pragmatic, and solution-oriented.

Your added value with blue.works.

  • Clear integration – through bidirectional synchronization instead of manual maintenance
  • Fewer silos – thanks to consistent processes between SAP and non-SAP tools
  • Faster projects – through automated exchanges and reduced sources of error
  • Direct support – from setup to operation on SAP BTP

When structure makes the difference.

  • Companies that want to connect SAP Cloud ALM with Jira, ServiceNow, or other tools
  • Organizations that want to standardize processes and create transparency
  • Teams that want to eliminate silos and avoid system breaks
  • Projects that rely on efficient collaboration between Dev and Ops

FAQ

What is the alm360 Hub?

The alm360 Hub is a modular integration platform that connects SAP Cloud ALM or SAP Solution Manager (Focused Build) with external tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps or Asana.

It eliminates media disruptions, synchronizes data bidirectionally – and creates uniform process management across system boundaries.

Why do I need the alm360 Hub?

SAP Cloud ALM or SolMan are often not natively connected to the tools in which specialist departments, developers or external partners work.

The hub ensures that:

  • Tasks, features and requirements are automatically synchronized between tools
  • the change process remains consistent – even across ITSM systems
  • status and test results are automatically mirrored
  • duplicate data maintenance or manual transfers are no longer necessary
Which systems can I connect to it?

Among other things, the hub supports integration with:

  • Jira (Atlassian)
  • ServiceNow
  • Azure DevOps
  • Asana
  • …und über 4000 weitere Tools über REST API & Connector-Framework
How does integration work?

Depending on the scenario, SAP ALM or the external tool is configured as the leading tool. The hub takes over:

  • the mapping of data fields (incl. status, comments, attachments, etc.)
  • data transfer (incl. time stamp, trigger & validation)
  • Re-synchronization, e.g. in the event of status changes, test results or approvals
Are there different operating modes?

Yes, the alm360 Hub can be used in two modes:

  1. Push mode: SAP ALM generates and synchronizes content in external tools
  2. Pull mode: External tools generate content (e.g. changes) in SAP ALM

The operating mode is defined depending on the tool architecture and use case – e.g. ITSM-managed or SAP-centralized.

Which use cases can be mapped?

Typical scenarios:

  • Jira → SAP Cloud ALM (Dev & Test remain in Jira, control in ALM)
  • ServiceNow → Focused Build (request becomes a change)
  • Azure DevOps → Cloud ALM (user story becomes a feature)
  • SAP → Jira (defect in SolMan creates bug in Jira)
  • Incident in ServiceNow creates feature in SAP Cloud ALM

All scenarios can be synchronized bidirectionally and can be flexibly expanded.

How time-consuming is the introduction?

Depending on the complexity, the introduction takes between a few days and approx. 3-4 weeks.

We start with a toolchain workshop, define the interfaces, carry out a mapping and configure the synchronization.

All integrations are maintainable, scalable and do not require in-depth intervention in the source systems.

Is the hub also compatible with SAP Solution Manager?

Ja.

For customers who currently use Focused Build in SAP Solution Manager, there is the alm360 SolMan Connector – e.g. for connecting Jira or ServiceNow.

The advantage: the change process is retained, even if you switch to SAP Cloud ALM at a later date.

How does the hub differ from a standard SAP integration?

The hub is:

  • modular & customizable (no fixed template)
  • tool agnostic (over 4000 tools possible)
  • bidirectional (not only outbound)
  • maintainable and rule-based (no hard-coded mappings)
  • ready to use for project & operation

SAP does not offer comprehensive standard integration for the tools mentioned – the alm360 Hub closes this gap.

What results can I expect?

With the alm360 Hub:

  • Accelerate change and release processes
  • Reduce manual effort & errors
  •  Maintain control – even with distributed teams
  • Avoid media disruptions and tool conflicts
  • Create the basis for sustainable toolchain governance
