What is the alm360 Data Manager?

The alm360 Data Manager is an add-on for SAP Cloud ALM that provides backup, restore and migration functions for your ALM data. It gives you control over your data – whether you want to back up, migrate or import content from external tools such as Jira or Atlassian.

What functions does the Data Manager offer?

The Data Manager covers five central scenarios:

  1. Scheduled & on-demand backups – automatic or manual, incl. versioning
  2. Restores with selection option – e.g. only restore status or complete entity
  3. Entity migration between tenants – e.g. from Sandbox to Dev
  4. Import of external content (Jira, CSV, etc.) – with field mapping
  5. Synchronization of external content – e.g. Jira tickets → Cloud ALM feature updates with

All data is stored and secured on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Why do I need an add-on like the Data Manager?

SAP Cloud ALM does not offer any backup, restore or import functions as standard.
