Simple scheduling has the benefit to set offset in seconds which define how long until the work mode starts of the current time. Duration is set for how long this work mode lasts in minutes. Simple scheduling also allows to choose multiple systems.

What has been the standard for IT Calendar can still be accessed from the top right corner when scheduling work mode.

IT Task Management

Notification resources – New function “Where Used List for Recipients” allows you to search auto-notifications individual recipients or recipient list and can be replaced or removed much quicker than earlier.

In Task Inbox, you can choose multiple tasks and set status for them or assign them rather than choosing individual tasks. Having enriched the document with own data, you have the option to avoid the update of a job document by feeding a non-existing job status via operation “FILL_JOB_DOC_DEEP” in BAdl AGS_JSM_JOBDEF_MASSMAINTAIN. This means you can do a validation before the update happens.

SAP BPA by Redwood offers the scripts REDWOOD.CONTENT_GenerateProcessChain and REDWOOD.CONTENT_GenerateProcessDefinition to create and update job definitions. To get those scripts, open a ticket in SAP Support Portal on component XX-PART-REDWOOD-BPA. SAP Solution Manager not only uses the “create” option, but also of the “update” option, so that the job definition is automatically renamed to the name of the scheduled job.

When selecting a job document to submit an edit request, before you start entering any data, you are informed if there is an assigned request already.

Service Availibility

Outages are now created for grey alerts, workmode changes or reconfiguration instead of only green alerts. From the Details of Outage page you can navigate to new screen Alert Details which shows the details of the originating alert and the database table “SAM_BL_ALRT_CONF” is excluded from the availability alerts which should not be recorded as a outage.

SAP has released some small improvements in the application operations area with SPS12 to increase acceptance and stability.

[9
205
post-29416","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sap-alm-insights","tag-sap-solution-manager
["GET
