Spirits were still high, and as we finally took off, the air was filled with anticipation (and a bit of tiredness).

Arriving in Dublin, we were immediately faced with the first mini-challenge: deluxe taxi coordination. Split into small groups, we made our way to the hotel, which turned out to be the perfect starting point for the next few days: modern, central, cozy and close enough to the pubs.

Then things got serious: photo shoot! Sounds like model vibes, but it was more like “Top Model meets traffic safety.” We posed in the middle of the street, jumped aside for every passing car and back into position as soon as the coast was clear. The result: loads of laughs and photos we’ll probably never be able to recreate.

In the evening, it was finally time for food with traditional Irish cuisine and, of course, a Guinness to toast. For some, the first sip was more “unusual” than enjoyable, but for everyone, it was the kickoff to the Dublin vibe. Afterwards, a quick stop at a pub: live music, friendly locals, and the realization that good vibes in Dublin don’t need a warm-up phase.

Guinness Storehouse – experience Dublin’s landmark

Early birds dove into the hotel breakfast, late risers rolled out of bed a bit later but everyone was ready on time for the big highlight: the Guinness Storehouse.

After a short walk through Dublin, it stood before us: the huge brick building, half museum, half adventure world for beer fans.

The tour was a mix of history, nostalgia and a playground for adults. From the four ingredients to Arthur Guinness’ legendary 9,000-year lease to the best commercials of the last 100 years – it all left us in awe. The crowning glory awaited at the top: the Gravity Bar with 360° views over Dublin. A real wow experience even under gray clouds.

Culture with goosebumps: the EPIC Museum

But Dublin has more to offer than beer culture. So we headed to EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum. Even the walk along the Liffey was a nice little breather, and inside we found an exhibition that truly captivated us.

Ireland’s history wasn’t just told here it was brought to life. From the Great Famine in the 19th century to the global impact of Irish artists, athletes and activists. Much of it moving, some of it surprising, and definitely a highlight of the trip.

In the evening, a culinary contrast followed: hearty meat dishes in an upscale restaurant. But the food was almost secondary, because there was a very special moment to celebrate. With great joy, we presented Laura with the Rücknahmebengel 2025 our trophy for their great commitment to the customer. The surprise was a success, the atmosphere was warm, proud and full of applause.

Fresh breeze in Howth

On Sunday we were drawn out of the city: half an hour’s cab ride later we were in Howth a small, charming village by the sea that looks like it was cut out of a travel guide to Ireland.

There, our paths split: some took it easy coffee, soaking up the sun (okay, maybe even a quick nap in the sunshine). The others laced up their shoes and set off on the coastal hiking trail. Their reward was a landscape so postcard perfect, you could’ve stopped every few steps to take a photo. And as if that wasn’t spectacular enough, dolphins actually appeared in the water a true goosebump moment!

With a 40 minute delay into the adventure Meeting at the airport at 9:00 AM sounds like discipline, but it felt more like a school trip: excited faces, coffee cups in hand, and the constant loop of “Have you checked in yet?” The flight came with a 40-minute delay as a bonus.
